Rain was quite a surprise when she was born as we have never had a doe born with her coloring. A striking blue roan. And quite the correct doeling to boot. After a stellar show year, you are afraid to see how they will freshen. Being our first Manny daughter would prove to be the true test to what Manny could do. And he didn't disappoint. Rain freshened with a beautifully attached mammary that is a huge improvement over her dams. Add to that being a correct doe in General Appearance. Would like to see a bit better teat placement, but with all the other positives going for this young doe, we are excited and happy to add her to the show string.

~ It is with a heavy heart that we said a tragic good-bye to our beloved Rain. She was not only a unique doe in color, especially for our herd, but her gentle, loving disposition. She always was first at the gate to great visitors, get the first pat or watch as we made sure we placed the hay correctly in the feeders. Her passing has left a huge hole in our hearts and in the barn and for all those who knew her. They just aren’t here long enough. RIP sweet girl. I will miss your loving face for some time to come.~
